Prince Harry 'Thrilled' Over Royal Pregnancy

01/21/2013 at 02:40 PM EST

Prince Harry is on his way home from the war zone and says he "can't wait" to become an uncle.

"Obviously I'm thrilled for both of them," Harry, 28, says of his brother Prince William and sister-in-law Kate, joking, "It's about time."

In an interview in Afghanistan, where he served since September, the prince says he had chatted to the couple – and didn’t text or send them a letter, despite reports he had done so – when their news was released in early December.

"I spoke to my brother and her, and they're both very well and both very happy obviously," he says. "I think it's very unfair that they were forced to publicize it when they were, but that's just the media for you."

The royal couple revealed the pregnancy prematurely because of Kate's hospitalization due to severe morning sickness.

Harry, in charge of the weaponry on his crew's Apache attack helicopter, was interviewed about 10 days after the pregnancy was revealed, but his remarks were kept under wraps for security reasons, released now because he's returning to the U.K.

"I literally am very, very happy for them," he says, "but I just only hope that she and him – but mainly Catherine – hopefully that she gets the necessary protection to allow her as a mother-to-be to enjoy the privacy that that comes with. I seriously hope that's going to be able to happen."

Now that he's back from his tour of duty, is there some pressure on him to follow his brother and find a wife?

"I don't think you can ever be urged to settle down," he says. " If you find the right person and everything feels right, then it takes time, especially for myself and my brother."

But, as he has hinted before, it is hard to find the right kind of woman who isn’t going to be scared off by everything else that goes with being with a royal.

"You ain't ever going to find someone who's going to jump into the position that it would hold," he says. "Simple as that."

Bethenny Frankel & Warren Lichtenstein Are Just 'Great Friends': Report

Buzz

As Bethenny Frankel focuses on healing after filing for divorce from husband Jason Hoppy, she seems to have a very special supporter by her side: hedge fund mogul Warren Lichtenstein, who's reportedly been helping her move past her split.

But is she moving on with Lichtenstein, the chairman and CEO of Steel Partners Holdings L.P.?

"Bethenny and Warren have been great friends for more than 20 years, and he has really been a support system during this sad time," a source tells the U.K.'s Daily Mail.

The source also quelled rumors that the reality star, 42, moved into his $6.3 million Upper East Side, N.Y., apartment. However, she did clock in some time at his Manhattan digs – when he wasn't home.

She reportedly stayed at the billionaire's place for one night with 2-year-old daughter Bryn "so that she and Bryn could have some girl time," adds the source. Hoppy, whom she married in 2010, still lives in the former couple's Tribeca loft, according to the Daily Mail.

It's been just less than a month since Frankel announced her split from Hoppy. "I feel like a failure," she recently told Ellen DeGeneres. "I really put it out there. I wanted the fairy tale."

Eating for three!

Parents-to-be Jenna Dewan-Tatum and husband Channing, fresh from a beach holiday in St. Barts, enjoyed a casual lunch date together on Wednesday.

The couple, who wed in 2009 and announced their happy baby news in mid-December, shared their meal at Greenleaf Gourmet Chopshop in Beverly Hills.

Jenna, 32, went with healthy eating, dining on the restaurant's seasonal salad (kale, tangerine, dried blueberry, almonds and citrus vinagrette) while PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive, also 32 – and an Alabama native – chose more hearty Southern fare, specifically a barbecue chicken sandwich.

"They were a sweet couple and she's got a little bump too," said an onlooker.

Holly Madison Is Ready to Get Daughter's Nursery Started

Jessica Simpson: Second Pregnancy Was a Shock
AKM-GSI

As usual, Holly Madison was all smiles on Wednesday. But don’t let her look deceive you — due in seven weeks, the former E! star is feeling a bit petulant.

Though she’s been preparing for the arrival of her daughter, Madison tells PEOPLE at the grand opening of Andrea’s at the Wynn in Las Vegas that she’s “stressing out because I’m supposed to be moving.”

“I need to get the nursery together, so I’m getting really impatient,” she explains.

“It’s going to be Alice In Wonderland-themed and I’m painting all these big murals so you feel like Alice when you walk in — all the tall flowers and all the caterpillar leaves. It’s going to take days to do it.”

Following a dispute about her doghouse with her current homeowners association, Madison, 33, is hoping to be settled in her new home sooner rather than later.

“I’m so antsy to get it done because I feel like the baby is going to come before I get a chance to get in there,” she says. “I’m supposed to be due the first week of March but she’s just going to come whenever she wants to come, so I don’t pay attention to that. I’m ready anytime.”

Luckily, the pregnancy has been smooth sailing overall, and Madison only craves fruit juices.

“I’m eating healthier than I normally would,” she notes. “I’ve been really lucky and feeling good. No problems.”

Which Oscar Nominee Might Carry a Puppy Purse on the Red Carpet?

Style News Now

01/15/2013 at 06:00 PM ET

The answer to the question above? Not Jessica Alba, who carried a poodle purse to the Golden Globe Awards, but rather a fashion-forward red carpet newbie.

Quvenzhané Wallis, star of Beasts of the Southern Wild, made headlines for being the youngest person ever to be nominated for an Oscar for Best Actress. And now the 9-year-old has gained the attention of the fashion world, too, thanks to the adorable sparkly purple dress she wore while accepting the Best Young Actress trophy at the Critics’ Choice Awards last week.

In an interview with Vogue‘s André Leon Talley, the starlet stays tight-lipped about what she will wear to this year’s Academy Awards (see minute-mark 1:15 for her genius way of deflecting Talley’s question), but she does divulge some hints. Here’s what we know:

It’s possible her dress might be pink because it’s her favorite color, and it will almost definitely not be floor length. “I might step on it and trip on it,” she explains. “And I don’t want to humiliate myself!”

And if her Critics’ Choice Awards accessory selection is any indication, she might not only be the first 9-year-old to win an Oscar, but also the first person to attend the show carrying a pink furry dog purse with a color-coordinating bow and sequin onesie.

Watch the above video to find out more about Wallis, including what she got for Christmas (hint: it’s pink), the celeb whose style she loves and to listen to her sing a line from “Fashion Is My Kryptonite.” Tell us: Do you think Wallis should go pink and girlie or totally sophisticated for the Oscars?

Justin Timberlake's New 'Suit & Tie:' Review

01/14/2013 at 02:45 PM EST

Inset:Joe Scarnici/Wireimage

At last Justin Timberlake is back to music, with Jay-Z in tow, on "Suit & Tie," his first new song since 2006 – and it sure is good to hear that falsetto croon again.

After the spacey beats of his last album, the multiplatinum FutureSex/LoveSounds, JT goes for a more retro vibe on this suave single, which previews his much-anticipated third solo album, The 20/20 Experience, due out later this year. With its smooth, horn-kissed lushness, it recalls the '70s R&B of Marvin Gaye as well as Robin Thicke's modern-day take on old-school soul.

While "Suit & Tie" does bring sexy back again, the lyrics find Timberlake, 32 this month, ready to sweep you – or perhaps his new wife, Jessica Biel – off your feet with old-fashioned romance.

"Let me show you a few things, show you a few things about love," he coos. Then, when Jay-Z swoops in for his rap, it's clear that wedded bliss is in the air: "Tell your mother that I love her cause I love you/ Tell your father we go farther as a couple/ They ain't lose a daughter, got a son."

Although the track once again finds Timberlake collaborating with producer Timbaland, it represents a sonic departure from previous hits like "Cry Me a River," "My Love" and "What Goes Around ... Comes Around."

"Suit & Tie" doesn't pack the same wallop as those songs, but it shows a more sophisticated side to the former boy-band member – all grown up now as a thirty-something married man.

Prince William and Kate Advertise for Royal Housekeeper

01/13/2013 at 02:45 PM EST

The Duchess and Duke of Cambridge

REX USA

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are staffing up.

The royal couple are looking for a housekeeper for their home in Kensington Palace, PEOPLE has confirmed.

What are the job requirements? The applicant must be willing to keep their home clean, tend to the glass and silverware and run some basic errands for the couple. That could even mean looking after little Lupo, their cocker spaniel.

The position is a "standard housekeeping" role, a spokesman says, and it has been advertised internally to other royal household staff.

Shortly after their marriage in 2011, they advertised for similar help. But William and Kate reversed the decision, removing the advertisement after they told aides they didn't need household help just yet.

But things change: Now, as they are expecting their first child and prepare to move into their new, larger home at Apartment 1A of Kensington, they're ready for some assistance.

And they aren't short of applicants. The U.K.'s Sunday Express, which broke the story of opening in the royals' staff, says 15 people have put their hat in the ring.

The new post will be the couple's second recent appointment. Late last year they took on their first orderly – a Fijian corporal, seconded from the Parachute regiment. He has been driving the couple (and was seen behind the wheel at Kate's visit to her prep school, St. Andrew's in Pangbourne, just before she announced her pregnancy) and helping with logistics on their visits.

He reportedly will also be on hand to help periodically with Prince William's clothes.

Adele Shops for Baby in Los Angeles

01/12/2013 at 01:30 PM EST

She may or may not win a trophy at Sunday's Golden Globe Awards, but Adele is already picking up some little treasures in Los Angeles.

After arriving Thursday, the new mom, whose son was born in October, shopped at upscale baby boutique Bel Bambini in West Hollywood on Friday.

"She was in a great mood and just focused on picking up essentials for her baby boy," an eyewitness tells PEOPLE.

What did her lucky little boy get? According to a customer, the British superstar spent an hour at the store and purchased a "lot of loot," including baby wash, shampoos and a changing pad.

A bodyguard type helped the mom, who wore head-to-toe black with a blue coat and a hat, load her purchases into a waiting car.

The Globes, which air live Sunday (8 p.m. ET) on NBC, will be the first official appearance for Adele since she and boyfriend Simon Konecki welcomed their son, whose name is still unknown.

She's nominated for best original song for her James Bond tune, "Skyfall."

Will Jennifer Lawrence be flying solo this awards season?

The Silver Linings Playbook star, 22, has split from her longtime boyfriend, British actor Nicholas Hoult, according to a report.

Neither Holt nor Lawrence's rep has commented.

The couple met while both starring in 2011's X-Men: First Class, in which they coincidentally played each other's love interest.

The pair have kept their relationship fairly low-key, however they were snapped sharing a passionate post-Valentine's Day smooch last year.

"[My boyfriend] is honestly my best friend, and hopefully I'm his best friend, too," Lawrence told Elle magazine in its December issue. "He's my favorite person and makes me laugh harder than anybody."

Lawrence is nominated in the best actress – comedy or musical category and expected to attend the 70th annual Golden Globe Awards Sunday. She was also nominated for a Best Actress Oscar Thursday.

Dennis Tyler Finds Homes for More Than 7,000 Retired Greyhounds

Heroes Among Us

01/10/2013 at 02:05 PM EST

Dennis Tyler and his greyhounds

Jeffery Salter

Dennis Tyler never expected to fall in love.

But after he took in a former racing greyhound named Clara Voyant in 1991, Tyler soon discovered that he'd found a constant companion in the affectionate light-brown dog, who strode beside him on daily walks and nestled against him while watching TV.

"She was a very special dog," recalls the Melbourne, Fla.-based father of two grown children. "She blended right into the family."

So when Tyler, 66, learned that many greyhounds, some injured while racing, faced the risk of being euthanized, he couldn't look the other way.

"These dogs can be the most wonderful pets," he says. "I needed to do something."

Since then the retired mechanic and his wife, Claire, 66, have found homes for more than 7,400 greyhounds through his nonprofit, Florida Greyhounds. Using donations, Tyler provides medical care for the dogs, personally matches them to a compatible family and drives them from his home state of Florida – which has the largest number of greyhound racetracks in the U.S. – to their new homes along the East Coast.

While the group briefly suspended operations last year due to new costs at track kennels in the area, Tyler says they'll be back up running later this month. His group has also started a fledgling foster dog program.

Lorie Stewart, of Satellite Beach, Fla., is one of the thousands of people who have benefitted from Tyler's efforts.

"I just adore my dogs," says Stewart, who's adopted five greyhounds through Florida Greyhounds. "They call them potato chip dogs because they're so addictive; you can't have just one!"

Mark Wahlberg Does Weather and Traffic Reports in Philadelphia

01/09/2013 at 02:30 PM EST

The weather is nice and mild in Philadelphia but things got pretty rowdy inside the weather room at local news station Fox 29's Good Day Philadelphia on Wednesday.

Mark Wahlberg and his Broken City director, Allen Hughes, took over the forecasting duties for weather anchor Sue Serio. (Watch his full report below.)

"This is perfect golf weather ... by the way," Wahlberg noted of a high of 54 degrees in the City of Brotherly Love.

Once the seven-day forecast was done, Wahlberg and Hughes lightened traffic reporter Kacie McDonnell's load and let Philadelphians know where they would find trouble on their morning commute.

"Look at this congestion here," Wahlberg said. "We're expecting 40- to 45-minute delays if you're coming east bound on the 676 here. You're going to have some serious problems. Why don't you stop and get yourself a hoagie?"

Broken City, which also stars Russell Crowe, opens Jan. 18.

Matthew McConaughey Getting Strength Back, But Not by Changing Diapers

01/08/2013 at 02:30 PM EST

Matthew McConaughey

Matthew McConaughey is slowly getting stronger after his incredible weight loss. But his workout regimen doesn't include much heavy lifting as a new father.

Asked at Monday night's New York Film Critics Circle Awards dinner if he's running home to change diapers, the actor, 43, told reporters: "I was there this morning, so I guess I am running home. But I'm not changing the diapers."

So, who is?

"Somebody," he said.

For now, the father of 11-day-old son Livingston – as well as older siblings Levi, 4, and Vida, 3 – is focused on getting his own body back to normal.

Asked if he misses his old hunky physique, he replied: "I have less [physical] leverage, but my mind is way sharper … You know, I love to wrestle. It's a good time to wrestle me now. I was 135 lbs., and now I'm up to 160 lbs, so I'm done with that and on my way back."

McConaughey says his target weight is 165 lbs., so he's only 5 lbs. shy of that.

The actor lost the weight for a role in Dallas Buyers Club through an intense diet. When that was over, he knew exactly what he wanted to eat first.

"A cheeseburger," he said. "That was it. I got the cheeseburger, and then I sat there for 25 minutes and doozied it up."

Katie Holmes Stuns in First Bobbi Brown Beauty Ad

Style News Now

Katie Holmes Bobbi Brown AdCourtesy: Bobbi Brown Cosmetics

Katie Holmes made headlines when she was named the first-ever celebrity face of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics back in September, and now we finally get a glimpse of the star’s gorgeous ad campaign.

The normally fresh-faced actress works a sexy smoky eye — which we plan on replicating this weekend — in the advertisement for the brand’s new Long-Wear Cream Shadow Sticks (in stores in February for $28 each). Pretty pink lips, loose waves and a statement necklace complement the dramatic makeup effect.

It turns out Holmes was a fan of the makeup company long before she started working with the team. “[Bobbi Brown's] color palettes aren’t extreme, so when I first started wearing makeup it felt comfortable and I didn’t feel like I had too much on,” Holmes says in a statement.

She adds that she also admires Bobbi Brown the person, as well. “I met her, and she is just a lovely person — so generous. I think that it’s so exciting what she’s built with this company. She’s an incredible woman. So I’m thrilled on so many levels.”

Though this is Holmes’s first foray into the makeup business, she’s no stranger to the beauty world: She starred in a series of short videos for John Frieda hair care in 2011. Tell us: What do you think of Holmes’s Bobbi Brown ad?

Bradley Cooper's Fans Sing 'Happy Birthday' in Palm Springs

01/06/2013 at 03:00 PM EST

Bradley Cooper didn't necessarily have the wildest of birthday celebrations, but his special day certainly didn't go unnoticed.

The Silver Linings Playbook star, who turned 38 on Saturday, was greeted by a slew of screaming fans when he arrived on the red carpet at the 24th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala in Palm Springs, Calif.

"Bradley started interacting with his fans and then they broke out into song, chanting 'Happy birthday to you,'" an onlooker tells PEOPLE.

Running late into the event because of the fan holdup, Cooper whisked by many of the reporters, and when asked about his birthday plans, answered with a smile, "I'm here!"

But the birthday surprises didn't end there.

After being honored with a Desert Palm Achievement Award presented by Playbook director David O. Russell, PEOPLE's former Sexiest Man Alive was given a shoutout by event host Mary Hart, who insisted the entire room sing "Happy Birthday" to the actor.

"It seemed very unexpected," the onlooker adds. "He seemed a little shy and embarrassed by it, but while managing to smile still."

Hero Lawyer Gives His House to a Homeless Family for a Year

01/05/2013 at 12:00 PM EST

Felicia Dukes and her four children had been living in a homeless shelter – but now they have a cozy house all their own – thanks to a Los Angeles lawyer who has temporarily given up his residence to the family in need.

Tony Tolbert, 51, decided he wanted to give up his fully furnished home, rent-free for one year, to a struggling family. So he sought out Alexandria House, a homeless shelter for women and children, where he was connected with Dukes.

"You don't have to be Bill Gates or Warren Buffet or Oprah," Tolbert, who has moved back into his parents' house for the year, told CBS News. "We can do it wherever we are, with whatever we have, and for me, I have a home that I can make available."

Dukes, who was joined by her three daughters and son, tearfully tells CBS, "My heart just fills up and stuff … I'm just really happy."

Tolbert says his generous spirit comes from his father, an L.A. entertainment lawyer, who taught his son about the virtues of giving when he was growing up. Tolbert says his dad regularly lent out the family's spare bedroom to someone in need.

"Kindness creates kindness; generosity creates generosity; love creates love," Tolbert said, while emotionally addressing his dad, who has Alzheimer's disease. "I think if we can share some of that and have more stories about people doing nice things for other people, and fewer stories about people doing horrible things to other people, that's a better world."

Tolbert's ways are nothing new, according to his mom Marie, who says, "He's so giving, and he's always been that way."

Prince Charles Beats Prince William on Best Dressed List

Move over, Prince William and Prince Harry. Prince Charles is first in line for the throne, and can unofficially be crowned the "King of good tailoring."

The 64-year-old soon-to-be grandfather reigns at No. 8 on GQ 's annual best dressed list – well ahead of dashing William, who came in at 37.

Natalie Massenet of Net-a-Porter and head of the British Fashion Council calls Charles always "on trend." His method being simple: "This is a man who knows what he likes, knows how to wear it, and sticks with it whatever the prevailing fashions," she says in the February issue of the magazine out Thursday in the U.K. and next week in the U.S.

Since marrying Kate, 30-year-old William is noted to have improved sartorially, donning suits by Richard James and Spencer Hart.

And despite coming in far down the list, the debonair prince still get some raves and is said by the men's magazine to epitomize "true British style."

Meanwhile, guess who topped the list of 50: Downton Abbey's Dan Stevens beat Robert Pattinson, Homeland's Damian Lewis and Idris Alba for the No. 1 spot. He is "always a class act," the magazine says.
